Scenery on the way from Aberdeen to the Badlands

Pretty much flat from Aberdeen to the Badlands....

We had to go to Wall Drug.  I think it is a state law...  Here's their official site.  This place was both cheezy and cool.  The kids could have spent all day (and a bunch of $$ here) had we let them.

We went on a little detour through a little called Buffalo Gap.  Very quaint.  The road was maintained (all 75 miles) by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and not paved. Cool side trip though.

The Town Hall- Notice the Playground on one side.  The other side had the fire truck.

We are back on the road here, and entering the Badlands.

This picnic area was on the side of the road.  No town within 50 miles.  No cover to the roof, nothing within sight to see except the beginning of the hills.
