In July of 2006, the family took a little trip up north (as they say around here) and visited the North Shore of Lake Superior, including Split Rock Lighthouse, Gooseberry Falls, Pigeon River, Temperance River, Grand Portage, The Minnesota Historical Society Forest History Center and camped near Ely, MN.
